Each team will need to carry a group First Aid Kit to deal with an emergency situation should it arise.
There are various purpose made First Aid Kits that can be bought, but they can also be put together yourself. Aim to include the following items:
- Tweezers (also include a Tick removal card or tweezers)
- Safety Pins
- Scissors
- Vinyl Gloves
- Spot Check Thermometer
- Crepe bandages
- Hygienic Cleansing Wipes
- Medical tape
- Gauze Pads
- Sterile Eye Wash Assorted Plasters
- Sterile Wound Dressings
If you have a multi tool or penknife that can be useful as that will have tweezers, scissors and a knife all in one place.
Also ensure you have some writing equipment to hand alongside your group First Aid Kit. If an emergency does occur you will want to take notes of the injury and record how details of how the patients condition changes over time.
